Changes after payment: refunds, returns and what needs confirmation
Most of what can change between paying and shipping has its own Fansbuy rule and never involves the permission. Each case below gives that rule, the Fansbuy page it comes from, and what usually happens in practice.
A seller runs out of stock
Sell-outs are common on Chinese marketplaces, where one listing can serve many buyers at once. Fansbuy’s out-of-stock answer describes the routine: if the shop does not have enough stock, a Fansbuy buyer leaves a message on your order; you cancel it; and the payment is refunded to your Fansbuy balance.
Nothing here is a difference being collected, so the permission is not involved at any point. The money moves in your direction, and it lands in the balance rather than back on your card. If you want a similar item, the answer says to place a new order.
In practice the message is the step people miss, especially with the permission switched on and no other reason to log in. An out-of-stock order does not resolve itself until you cancel it.

You want another colour or size
Changing your mind about a variant is handled by the order status, not by the permission. Fansbuy’s colour and size answer says that while the order shows Pending you can add the change in the Notes section or cancel and order again, and once it shows Confirmed you should tell Fansbuy by message or email. If the notes are missing something, Fansbuy says it will usually get in touch.
The status list has a status for the opposite situation: a Problematic Order is one with no required size or colour description, waiting for you to confirm again.
If the new variant costs more or less than the old one, Fansbuy’s pages do not say whether that gap counts as a seller price adjustment. In practice, ask in the same message so the answer is on record.

QC photos are where most of these changes first show
A wrong colour or a wrong size is usually spotted in the inspection photos, so it is worth knowing how to check QC photos before a change becomes a return. Fansbuy’s inspection rules say standard inspection covers style, quantity, colour, size, model, damage and defects, with three to ten standard photos.
Compare each photo with the option you chose and with your own notes, not with the shop’s model shots. Look for the size label, count the pieces, and check the colour under the photo’s own lighting. If something is off, it is the seller’s mistake or your change of mind, and the two are treated differently: the return policy puts a wrong item sent on the seller, and a change of mind on you.
None of this involves the permission. It decides which rule applies next.

Sending an item back for your own reasons
Returns are the one case on this page where Fansbuy’s pages leave a real gap. The return policy allows a return or exchange within seven days, worded both as seven days from receiving the product and as no more than seven days in inventory. The seller must support returns, the item must be resalable, and return shipping is on you even if the order shipped free.
For a change of mind, wrong purchase or budget issue, the policy quotes 12 RMB return postage. Seller-supplied errors and quality issues have different cost responsibility, subject to exceptions; domestic transit damage can require case-by-case negotiation. Get acceptance and the charge confirmed before proceeding.
Whether that 12 RMB can come out through the permission is not stated anywhere we read. It is not one of the three differences in the agreement, but nothing says it cannot be collected that way either.
- Timing
- Request within seven days of warehouse receipt.
- Eligibility
- Seller acceptance, resalable condition and required proof and parts.
- Buyer-reason postage
- The public policy quotes 12 RMB; confirm the actual arrangement.
- Automatic deduction?
- Not confirmed by the agreement. Ask how this charge will be collected.
Extras you choose yourself at the parcel step
When you submit a parcel you can add warehouse services and insurance. Fansbuy’s service list lists services such as Preview Package, Priority packaging, box corner protection, consolidation and vacuum packaging, and its insurance page explains the optional parcel cover.
All of these are priced and paid on the submission page, alongside the deposit. They are a choice you make at that moment, not a figure that changes afterwards, so the agreement does not list them and the permission has nothing to settle. One rule from the insurance page is worth carrying: cover cannot be bought once the parcel has shipped.
Requests you send later, through order remarks or support, are priced when Fansbuy replies.

Invalid orders, and parcels cancelled before they ship
Two more situations end with money moving, and neither needs the permission. The first is an Invalid Order. Fansbuy’s status list uses it for cancelled orders, wrong or invalid links, a product name or price that differs from the actual item, and virtual or prohibited goods. The status page itself does not describe the refund; in practice a cancelled product payment goes back to the Fansbuy balance, as it does for a sell-out.
The second is a parcel you cancel. The insurance page puts the line at the tracking number: a parcel cancelled before it ships can be refunded, while one that already has a tracking number can be neither cancelled nor refunded.
Back to the coverage card to check any of these against your own switches.
